Chocolate and vanilla cake. The book is made with chocolate ganache which hardens to a leather like texture commonly seen in antique books. The side of the cake are just vanilla buttercream that I textured with a small offset spatula so it will look like book pages.
THE MUG IS CAKE AS WELL. Sculpted cake into coffee mug and then covered with cake paste and buttercream to smooth out the sides. After it is set in the freezer I covered the whole thing with white fondant. Fashion a small amout of white fondant into a mug handle. Yes those were life size store bought Feek Freens cookies. |
