used 9 by 13 cake pan  for the large one and 10" square cake pan.  Both are 2" tall

Stack the two pieces together and fill
with chocolate buttercream.

Seal the crumbs with a thin layer of  chocolate
buttercream.  

Finally cover with vanilla buttercream.
