Swan Wedding Cake

Yesterday I went to Tita Ila and Tito Boyet's wedding.  The ceremony was beautifully officiated by Rev. Bill MacGillivray.  He brought out the couple's faith and love in God.  The cutest part of the wedding is when they sealed the wedding with a kiss.  Tito Boyet was sweating bullets as he attempts to kiss Tita Ila.  He was so shy that the kiss turned into a peck on the cheeks.    Hehehe maybe when no one is around Tito Boyet can give Tita Ila a "real kiss".

I am really honoured to make Tita Ila and Tito Boyet's wedding cake.  It is a coffee sponge cake covered in coffee buttercream frosting.  The swan and briar roses are made out of gumpaste.  This is also my first wedding cake.

I also made cupcakes of the same flavour but I topped the cupcake off with coffee shortbread cookies dipped in white chocolate.

This is my little girl Charisma with the flower girl Trish.  The other is my cousin Aljo from LA.  Please leave a comment.

That cake is indeed elegant! - befitting for a wedding!

Your Charisma is a darling! She looks very much like you when you were a little girl.

Is that your hubby carrying her?

Hugs!

Minion Cupcake Cake

This is how I made my Ube (purple yam) Minion cupcake..  Enjoy! Come see how I made it in this youtube video.  Don't forget to subscribe for more updates! Used Wilton tip 1M to create the rose pattern on the cupcake.  Start pipping from middle cupcake and out. To create the eyes...  You will need 3 different sizes of round cookie cutter (3", 2.5, 1 inches, white fondant, grey fondant (goggle frame), light brown fondant (iris), and black fondant, large ball tool, and piping gel.  Cut out a 3" circle out of grey and white fondant.  Set aside in large ziplock bag.  Cut out a 2.5" circle in the middle of the grey circle.  This will be the frames for the minions goggles. With a small brush apply a small amount of water along the perimeter of the white circle.  Lay down the grey frames on top of the white circle.  Using a ball tool (See pic bellow) make an indent on the bottom centre of the white circle.  Place the brown 1" circle in the di

Hello Kitty Cupcake Cake

This is my favourite.  I put together 37 cupcakes to create this cute hello Kitty cake. Buttercream Recipe: 1 cup butter at room temperature 4 cups sifted icing sugar 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 3 tablespoon milk The amount of icing sugar, vanilla extract, and milk can be modified to suit your taste.  Beat the butter until smooth then add the rest of the ingredients beat everything on medium speed on electric beater until smooth.  Enjoy! Hello Kitty in her turtle.  Baby its cold out here. -31 with -40 windchill. Pipped roses on individual cupcakes using Wilton tip #1M.  Cover gaps with more icing. This is how I arranged the ube cupcakes.  31 all together.

Easy Soccer Ball cake

This soccer ball cake is easy to make.  To create the soccer ball shape I used a approximately 8" Stainless steel bowl, and an 8" round cake pan. You may use glass bowl but you have to reduce cooking time.    This is how I assembled my soccer cake. The naked cake... As you can see there are 3 layers to this cake.  The bottom layer is 8" round cake.  The top layers are just one bowl shaped cake that I split into two sections.   I stack the layers first to see how they fit together.  I noticed that the middle layer overhangs a bit on the 8" round cake.  I trimmed off the excess cake using a sharp carving knife.   Each layer is filled with chocolate buttercream. Chocolate crumb coat...  This part can be omitted since we are applying the buttercream with an icing tip.  I crumb coated chocolate for added flavor because having just the white vanilla icing is too boring.   Do not worr
